We have submitted a petition to the number 10 website to ask the government to look at reviewing the treatment of Pernicious Anaemia in the UK. We are currently also setting up an international petition details to follow shortly.
The text of the petition is as follows:
"We the undersigned petition the Prime Minister to recognise that the diagnosis and treatment of Pernicious Anaemia does not take into account the individual needs of patients and that the patient experience of managing the condition is often affected detrimentally because of this. We, the undersigned, demand that the diagnosis, monitoring and treatment of Pernicious Anaemia be centred on the needs of the individual in order that the dignity and rights of sufferers of the disease be protected"
If you would like to sign the petition you must be a British citizen or resident. Keep your eyes peeled for our international petition which once full of signatures will be split up and sent to all relevant bodies in each country.
